    1. INTRODUCTION
    I GREET YOU ALL IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD GOD, AMEN.I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A FULL REPORT OF WHAT HAPPENED ON 16/11/13, AND THANK LUCSA FOR THE SUPPORT THEY GAVE US AS UMNGENI CIRCUIT .
    2. TARGET GROUP
    THE AWARENESS WAS MEANT FOR THE LEADERSHIP OF UMNGENI CIRCUIT.THE GUESTS WHO WERE INVITED TO THE EVENT WERE
    • THE CIRCUIT COUNCIL
    • RELIGIOUS MINISTERS FROM ALL CONGREGATIONS
    • DELEGATES FROM ALL 43 CONGERGATIONS
    • ALL CHAIRPESONS FROM VARIOUS LEAGUES FROM ALL CONGREGATIONS
    • SUNDAY SCHOOL EDUCATORS
    • CHAIPERSON OF ELCSAMO
    • HEALTH AND WELLNESS (HIV &AIDS) PARISH COMMITEES
    • KWAZULU NATAL COUNCIL OF CHURCHES (KZNCC) REPRESENTATIVE

    3. AIM / OBJECTIVES OF TARGETING THE LEADERSHIP
    • WE AS HIV&AIDS COMMITTEE WANTED TO INVOLVE ALL THE CHURCH LEADERSHIP IN A DEBATE AFTER THE SPEECH OF THE DAY TO GAUGE THEIR UNDERSTANDING AND THE LEVEL OF AWARENESS WHILST CREATING AN AWARENESS OF THE LINKS BETWEEN GENDER VIOLENCE , CULTURAL SOCIALISATION AND HIV& AIDS ISSUES.
    • WE WANTED THEM TO BE MOTIVATED AND FEEL THE NEED OF THE CHURCH TO CONTINUE TO BE STRONGLY IN ACTION ; TO BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN TB, GENDER, WOMEN & CHILD ABUSE AND HIV&AIDS ACTIVITIES; TO TAKE AN ACTIVE PART IN SUCH PROGRAMMES AS LEADERS.
    • WE WANTED TO INTRODUCE AND INVITE THE LEADERSHIP TO MOVE ALONG WITH US AS WE TAKE OFF TO DO BASELINE AND MAINSTREAMING IN EVERYWAY IN THE CHURCH AND ALSO, SO THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF ITS IMPORTANCE AS WE TAKE THE NEW PATH.

    4. ACCORDING TO THE PROGRAMME
    4.1 OPENING PRAYER – WAS RELEVANT TO THE PROGRAMME AND PURPOSE OF THE AWARENESS
    4.2 THE WELCOME AND PURPOSE BY THE CHAIRPERSON WAS AS ABOVE – AIMS/OBJECTIVES.
    4.3 THE SPEAKER OF THE DAY WAS : DR LUCAS NGOETJANA FROM KZNCC
    A “HOW ISSUES OF GENDER AND CULTURE FUEL TH SPREAD OF HIV/AIDS IN SOUTH AFRICA” IT INCLUDED:-

    – POSSIBLE INTERVENTION
    B. HIV& AIDS , ARV’S TREATMENTAND APPLICATION OF FAITH : TOWARDS HEALING & CURE
    C. INTERACTION – OPEN DISCUSSIONS LED BY : DR L. NGOETJANA
    5. CANDLE LIGHTING SERVICE WAS DONE WITH SUCCESS USING THE LITANY : SPIRITUAL HEALING SERVICE PRAYER –ELCSA SED BY REV NZUZA
    6. CLOSING PRAYER AND VOTE OF THANKS BY DEAN MNYAKA
    7. PARTICIPATION OF LEADERSHIP: TESTING – VCT WAS DONE BY OUR PROFFESIONAL TEAM LED BY MS BUSI DLAMINI
