Letter from Presiding Bishop

A message of Bishop P.P. Buthelezi

ELCSA-SED membership is hereby encouraged to pray for the current situation in our Province and join local Marches for Peace calling for an end to the violence against foreign nationals and also to hold meetings that can discern effective role of the church in ending the current outbreak of xenophobia and to determine long-term strategies for peaceful coexistence.

It is no longer about who is wrong or right; who said or not said what, but our Ubuntu, unity and dignity as Africans that is now at stake! Prayers are to be made for all of us to find a peaceful solution to our problems. Blaming one another wont solve anything!

Am very happy that the KZNCLG, a structure consisting of Heads of the Churches/Denominations in KZN is meeting soon to find ways how to contribute in calming down this current situation.

What is impossible to us is not impossible to God! If the photos shown on social network are true, it is indeed a very sad situation! I just came back from the Holy Land where I witnessed inhuman, horrible and cruel treatment experienced by Palestineans from Israel/Jews! Oh God come help us!
