What a wonderful day we had at Richards Bay Lutheran Church!

Our bishop P.P.Buthelezi, Dean J.S.Ndlovu, Parish Pastor B.T.M. Magubane, Rev Dr. Ngidi, Rev. Nkosi and Rev. S. Gensicke began the Fundraising Sunday with a Church Service. There were more than 300 members assembled in our New Church. What a sight it was to see the procession enter into our New Church. The Bishop challenged and encouraged the congregation to invest into the future of their church. After the sermon we had a round of collections and our favourite JJ’s and JD’s competition, and to the bishops delight JJ’s WON by a mile. (JD’s don’t cry, there will be a date for revenge in three months). After sharing the Holy Communion, we had a second session, with a brief look into the history of our congregation and a speech of encouragement from D. Nxumalo. After presenting our bishop and Rob (in absentia) with a gift of gratitude, we auctioned off two cakes!

That auction was as much fun as it raised funds for a good cause! We want to thank all involved: Our BishopP.P.Buthelezi, Dean J.S.Ndlovu, Parish Pastor B.T.M. Magubane, all pastors, all visitors, especially the choir from Enkanyisweni which led our songs and hymns, all who helped behind the scenes, the cooks in the kitchen (the food was delicious and plenty), the Youth and Men who helped prepare the church and grounds, our mothers who took care of us in a loving way. Especially we want to thank Mrs. Ntuli and her Events team, WELL DONE, we want to thank all who donated food, presents, cakes, time and shared their love with us. The fundraiser was a huge success! And we are well on our way to finishing our beautiful church! THANK YOU and congratulations to Mrs. Gumede and Dumisani Nxumalo who won the cakes!
